The uplink/downlink services for the TV-Radio broadcasts of Türksat A.Ş. are provided through Türksat satellites in particular as well as the satellites of other operators based on a concept of rendering qualified and uninterrupted services complying with today's standards in required periods of time.
Transmission of the broadcasts of TRT Türk, Al Jazeera TV, Al Jazeera International TV, Cable TV Platform Broadcast, Police Radio, and the Voice of Turkey Radio to the satellite is being performed by Türksat A.Ş.
Türksat provides all kinds of national and international temporary broadcast transmission services through its broadcast transmission infrastructure by means of satellites.
As the earth is divided into three ocean regions in terms of satellite communication, Turkey is in the middle of two of these regions (Atlantic Ocean and Indian Ocean) due its location, while it is included in the coverage ranges of the satellites in both regions. Therefore, our stations are capable of using a large part of the satellites belonging to other satellite operators. When a need for temporary broadcast, which is generally overseas, temporary broadcast services are provided in line with overseas and domestic demand.
By means of the existing wide antennas and uplink stations in our campus, the broadcasts on the satellites of other satellite operators are received and transmitted to other satellites or delivered to user institutions through terrestrial infrastructures. These lines can be fiber optic or a second satellite uplink chain.
By means of its 3 Mobile Satellite Ground Stations (MSGS), Türksat is capable of providing TV and radio uplink/downlink services from any point. Game broadcasts, national and international news, and live broadcast transmission services are provided through the aforementioned stations.
In addition to TV and radio broadcasts, the Mobile Satellite Ground Stations provide the opportunity of 30-channel telephone communication with a total capacity of 2 Mbit.
