Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu; Stating that the Türksat 6A communication satellite was produced with a local production rate of nearly 90 percent, he said, "We produced our Türksat 6A satellite locally and nationally. While producing this, we assigned Türksat's engineers to the construction of TÜRKSAT 3A, 4A, 4B, 5A, 5B satellites, trained them and included them in the production programs." "We produced it locally, it has a local production rate of up to 90 percent. We are sending it to the USA at the beginning of June and will send it to space between July 8-14." said.

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Uraloğlu visited the Space Systems Integration and Test Center (USET) at the Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) campus, where the construction of Türksat 6A was completed. Making statements about TÜRKSAT 6A, Uraloğlu said; Stating that they have completed the work on the satellite, he said, "We have entered the process of launching TÜRKSAT 6A. We need satellites for Turkey's communications, television broadcasts, and both military and civilian communications. Turkey has 5 communication and 4 observation satellites in space. We are interested in these." "We both meet our own needs and provide service sales and delivery to countries in our nearby geography." said.

Uraloğlu underlined that Türksat was the main planner of the work and said that TÜBİTAK UZAY, ASELSAN and CTECH were also involved in the production process. Emphasizing that thousands of engineers were involved in the production process, Uraloğlu said, "They carried out this work by working in certain time periods according to their own production and interests. Thousands of our engineers and technicians contributed here." he said.

- Türksat 6A Will Cover 4 New Countries

Uraloğlu stated that the lifespan of satellites is generally 15 years and pointed out that when this period expires, existing satellites should be replaced with new ones.

Stating that the expired satellites were abandoned to suitable orbits in space, Uraloğlu said, "New satellites are necessary for developing technology, higher quality communication and new coverage areas. Currently, with our satellites, we cover Europe, the Middle East, the Turkish Republics and a part of the Far East." With our TÜRKSAT 6A satellite, we will cover India, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia, and we will increase the geography where approximately 3.5 billion people live to a geography with a population of 5 billion. "We will provide safer communication with this satellite. We are already selling this service to the geographies I mentioned. There will be additional income by selling this communication service and exporting services to the new 4 countries." he said.

-We Produced Türksat 6A with a Locality Rate of Up to 90 Percent"

Reminding that they produced the Türksat 6A satellite with domestic and national resources and that they will launch it in July, Uraloğlu said, "Communication is our most valuable asset, especially military communication is even more valuable. We are currently providing this, but in order to be safe and protect our space homeland, we will use the satellite that we produced and software for." That's why we produced our Türksat 6A satellite locally and nationally. While producing this, we trained Türksat's engineers by assigning them to the production of TÜRKSAT 3A, 4A, 4B, 5A, 5B satellites and keeping them in our production programs. We produced this locally, up to 90 percent. "There is a localization rate. We are sending it to the USA at the beginning of June and we will send it to space between July 8-14." He made a statement. Uraloğlu also underlined that Turkey is one of the 10 countries that built its own communication satellite.
