Türksat AŞ General Manager Hasan Hüseyin Ertok said that they will convey the World Motocross Championship and Afyon Motorcycle Festival (MotoFest) to be held in Afyonkarahisar to 3.5 billion viewers in approximately 180 countries via Türksat satellites.

The signing ceremony for Türksat AŞ to provide communication support to the World Motocross Championship and Afyon Motorcycle Festival was held at Türksat Gölbaşı Campus. In addition to Ertok, Afyonkarahisar Governor Kübra Güran Yiğitbaşı, AK Party Afyonkarahisar deputies Hasan Arslan, İbrahim Yurdunuseven and Ali Özkaya, Afyonkarahisar Mayor Mehmet Zeybek and Turkish Motorcycle Federation Vice President Mahmut Nedim Akülke attended the ceremony.

In his speech at the ceremony, Ertok stated that it is important to pave the way for young people and provide an environment where they can realize their dreams, and said that this should be done by taking into account the diversity in all sports branches.

Stating that the interest in sports that require speed and courage, especially motocross, is increasing day by day and young people should be supported, Ertok said:

“The Turkey leg of the World Motocross Championship, where the world's most important motocrossers compete under the auspices of our Presidency, is of great importance at this point. Our people's awareness and interest in sports is also increasing by delivering live broadcasts to our citizens of sports tournaments with a high audience and viewing pleasure around the world, such as motocross. "This interest will perhaps pave the way for our young people to use speed not on intercity roads, but to make Turkey's name known in sports fields where the eyes of the world are on."

Ertok stated that they will deliver the "World Motocross Championship and Afyon MotoFest", which will be held in Afyonkarahisar between 31 August and 3 September, under the auspices of the Presidency, to nearly 3.5 billion viewers in nearly 180 countries via Türksat satellites.
