Türksat made its mark at the Central Eurasia Space Technologies Conference STC 2024, one of the most important space technologies conferences in the world. Türksat Deputy General Manager Dr. Selman Demirel, Satellite Business Development and Marketing Director Kazım Efendioğlu and Satellite Programs Director Fatih Ayhan called for cooperation in space to the representatives of the leading organizations in the region in their presentations.
Central Eurasia Space Technologies Conference STC2024, which attracted great interest from the industry's leading satellite and space companies, was held under the Main Sponsorship of Türksat. At the conference, where evaluations were made regarding the satellite and space ecosystem on a global scale, the services and capabilities provided by Türksat through Türksat satellites in orbit were shared with the participants and new business opportunities were evaluated. Information was also given regarding the services and coverage areas of Turksat 6A, our country's first domestic and national communication satellite, which is planned to be launched at the beginning of July.
Türksat Deputy General Manager Dr. Selman Demirel also made a presentation about Türksat's satellite fleet power to the representatives of the leading organizations in the region at the Central Eurasia Space Technologies Conference. Providing information about the features and coverage area of Türksat satellites, Demirel also made statements about the local and national PeycON antenna family, as well as the broadcasting and data services offered by Türksat. In his presentation, Türksat Deputy General Manager Demirel stated that the number of active satellites of Türksat will increase to 6 with Türksat 6A in the near future, and that many components, as well as subsystems, were produced domestically together with the stakeholders in the project. Demirel emphasized that Türksat has significant experience in the field of satellite and space technologies and underlined that cooperation can be made on many issues.
Türksat Satellite Business Development and Marketing Director Kazım Efendioğlu, in his presentation at the Central Eurasia Space Technologies Conference, explained that Türksat carries out its satellite services through registered frequency rights in 31 degree, 42 degree and 50 degree East orbits. Stating that Türksat operates with 5 active satellites in 3 orbits, Efendioğlu also gave information about the power of Türksat 5B, one of Türksat's flagships. Making statements about Türksat's data and broadcasting services, Efendioğlu touched upon the services provided via satellite. Efendioğlu said that planes and ships receive internet and communication services via satellites; He also underlined that communication services in education, health, national security and disaster situations are provided via satellites.
Türksat Satellite Programs Director Fatih Ayhan made a presentation titled "Opportunities and Challenges in Space Research". Explaining that space research requires cooperation between various scientific disciplines, including astronomy, physics, engineering, biology and geology, Ayhan stated that this interdisciplinary approach is necessary to solve complex challenges and make breakthroughs in understanding the universe. Ayhan said that the need to overcome the difficulties of space travel pushes the limits of human creativity. Emphasizing that this leads to advances in applications both in space and on Earth, Ayhan said, “We will experience very important developments in many areas, from rapid development in medicine to habitability on Mars. To achieve this progress, it is necessary to reduce costs and improve resource management. “Cooperation on a global scale is essential.” Ayhan said, underlining that clear legal frameworks and ethical issues need to be established to manage human activities outside the Earth.
At the conference, which included many international participants, participants and countries showed great interest in the Türksat stand. As Türksat Satellite Services, many meetings and bilateral meetings were held and another very productive conference was completed for Türksat.
