Türksat AŞ, which participated in the world's largest satellite fair Satellite 2021 held in Washington DC, the capital of the USA, signed its first agreement for Türksat 5B, which is planned to be sent to space at the end of this year. With the strategic cooperation agreement signed between Türksat AŞ and Inmarsat, Inmarsat GX services will be provided in Turkey over the Türksat 5B satellite.

Turksat AŞ, in addition to the fleet of 2 satellites to be launched soon and the existing fleet of 4 GEO satellites, Türksat AŞ, which took its place at the fair with the nationally produced SOTM (Satcom On The Move) antennas HidrON and TerrON. And Türksat 5B, which is planned to be sent to space at the end of this year, also made its first agreement. The Cooperation Agreement for the Delivery of Inmarsat GX Services over the Turksat 5B Satellite in Turkey was signed by Türksat Satellite Services Deputy General Manager Dr. Selman Demirel and İnmarsat Vice President of Technology Dr. Signed by Mark Dickinson.
With the strategic cooperation agreement between Türksat and Inmarsat, Inmarsat GX services and infrastructure will be provided in Turkey via Türksat 5B satellite. Along with the earlier deal between companies which grants Turksat Tier 1 reseller in Turkey for Inmarsat global services, this new agreement will enhance and make Inmarsat GX services availbale in Turkey by using Turksat satellites and Turksat operated local gateway.
