At the Public Informatics Summit, Türksat once again underscored its role as a strategic force that brings domestic technology to the world. Türksat Board Chairman Prof. Dr. Kemal Yüksek stated that Türksat is not merely a public company that produces technology, emphasizing, “The core mission of Türksat is to lead digital transformation through public informatics solutions, to make the digital delivery of public services more effective, and to act as the ‘main server’ in the construction of the envisioned digital state.”

Türksat, which plays a pioneering role in Türkiye’s digital transformation journey, participated in the 12th Public Informatics Summit held on April 10–13, 2025. Coordinated by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure and organized by the Public Informatics Association, this year’s summit was held under the theme “Positive Communication.” The event brought together Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Dr. Ömer Fatih Sayan, President of the Information and Communication Technologies Authority (ICTA) Ömer Abdullah Karagözoğlu, and numerous representatives from the public and private sectors to discuss the multi-dimensional impacts of digital transformation.

In his opening speech, Türksat Board Chairman Prof. Dr. Kemal Yüksek emphasized that Türksat is not just a technology-producing public company but also a global carrier of digitalization. He stressed that Türksat, as the institution responsible for building Türkiye’s digital public infrastructure, is both the architect and strategic guide of this process.

Türksat: Exporter of Domestic and National Technology

Prof. Dr. Yüksek drew attention to the importance of bringing domestic and national software and hardware infrastructures to international markets. He stated that Türksat offers its solutions in an integrated and strategic manner, creating a model not only for operational efficiency but also for sustainability, “Thanks to this approach, the public informatics services developed in Türkiye serve as a model for many countries, especially within our ‘circle of affinity.’ Türksat is strengthening its identity as a technology exporter.”

“We Are Not Just a Server, We Are a Leader”

Prof. Dr. Yüksek emphasized that Türksat is not a passive player in digital transformation but an active leader, “The primary goal of Türksat is to lead digital transformation through public informatics solutions, to make the digital delivery of public services more effective, and to act as the ‘main server’ in building the envisioned digital state. We are not merely an entity that digitizes public services. We are the main server power that establishes, manages, and sustains the infrastructure of the digital state that Türkiye envisions.” He stated that the effectiveness, sustainability, and accessibility of digital public services can only be achieved through a strategic structure and noted that Türksat has become a direction-setting institution on both national and global scales with this vision.

Digital Sovereignty and Strategic Vision

Prof. Dr. Yüksek also highlighted the economic and time-saving contributions of the e-Government system to social life. He emphasized that the ability to create products in informatics is a strategic asset in international competition. He explained that satellite communication services play a critical role in both defense and communication infrastructure, and he concluded, “Türksat represents not only technology but also a value-driven digital transformation. The international collaborations we undertake on the path to digitalization further strengthen Türkiye’s bonds with its circle of affinity. We are opening the path for digital public services not just for Türkiye, but also for our friendly and brotherly countries.”
