The number of institutions using Belgenet, developed by Türksat to save paper and speed up bureaucratic processes, has reached 106. The number of users in the system, which digitizes all transactions in public institutions, exceeds 600 thousand and more than 90 million documents have been prepared digitally. Thanks to Belgenet, which saved 450 tons of paper, 22 thousand trees were prevented from being cut down.
During the transition to the e-Government Gateway, the number of institutions using the Document Management System Belgenet, developed by Türksat Bilişim in 2010 for fast and effective communication in the public sector and digitalization of activities in institutions and organizations, reached 106. All transactions in public institutions that switched to the system were digitalized. Document management with Belgenet, which significantly increases the efficiency of institutions and organizations; It started to be carried out electronically, in accordance with the legislation and standards, under the guarantee of Türksat.

Thanks to the user-friendly Belgenet, bureaucratic procedures have accelerated, while the quality standard in services has reached the highest levels. Belgenet, which accelerates the document flow, provides access to documents regardless of location, and thanks to the system, the effective operation of document processes has become easier. The Belgenet application, which collects different documents of the units in one place, also prevented information pollution by providing sharing and accessibility.

Using Belgenet not only saves labor and time, but also contributes to the protection of nature. In particular, paper waste was prevented by carrying out all documentation processes digitally, and over 90 million documents were prepared electronically with Belgenet. Thus, 450 tons of paper were saved and a contribution was made to the protection of nature. With Belgenet, 60 percent of printer and FAX costs were saved, and 1.5 million TL was saved in postage costs across Turkey every year.
-Employment of Disabled Personnel Made Easier with Belgenet
According to the data of the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Services, 65 thousand 662 of the 5 million 101 thousand personnel employed in the public sector are disabled citizens. Accordingly, 1 in every 77 public personnel is disabled. Belgenet enabled disabled employees, especially visually impaired citizens, to operate independently in official processes. Belgenet, which facilitates the employment of disabled citizens in their fields of expertise in public institutions, also received the Best Digital Application award at the Turkey Accessibility Awards.
