The 23rd International Telecommunications and Information Technologies Exhibition and Conference (Bakutel) kicked off in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan.  Alongside Türksat, Turkey’s leading communication operators took their place at Turkey’s stand, which was opened to exhibition by Turkey’s Transportation Maritime and Communication Minister, Ahmet Arslan.

Besides, Türksat CEO Cenk Şen, General Manager of Communication Ensar Kılıç attended the opening ceremony. Azerbaijan Minister of Transport, Communication and High Technology Ramin Guluzade along with Minister Arslan visited the stands of domestic companies and received information from officials.

During a statement made to the members of the press, Arslan stated that Bakutel is an important event that has become a tradition, and which is attended every year by Turkey.

Indicating that Turkish companies are starting to provide valuable services to the region, especially in the information and communication sector, Arslan added that over 10 Turkish companies participated in Bakutel.

Arslan, who gave information about Turkey’s e-Government Portal, continued his speech as follows:

“Turkey’s e-Government Portal platform has reached out to 35 million users. Close to 120 million transactions have been carried out. The number of services we provide has reached 3 thousand. If we consider the operational activities carried out by all the companies in Turkey, they should not be limited to Turkey alone but should spread throughout the world. I was really pleased to see the difference between our companies and other companies. It will give way to very successful results.”
