The Satellite Model Competition, which is organized by Türksat for university students, will be held for the 4th time this year. With the announcement of the dates, the competition has officially kicked off. Students, who have established their teams, can apply via https://modeluydu.turksat.com.tr/ by latest 10 March 2019.
The competition, which was organized in partnership with Turkey Technology Team Foundation, will be realized through 6 different stages according to the competition calendar. The final stage of the competition, which is the flight stage, will take place at Teknofest event between the dates of 17-22 September 2019.
In addition to the Satellite Model Competition giving students the opportunity to turn theoretical knowledge into practice, it also provides them the opportunity to work as a team, ensures inter-disciplinary interaction, creates awareness in the field of space and satellite, and helps them set up contact with companies that specifically focus in R&D.
The Satellite Model Competition, which attracted the attention of university students, was organized for the first time in 2016 with the participation of 7 teams. Last year’s competition was stage to 37 teams competing against each other, where Karadeniz Technical University’s ULAK team came out victorious by winning first place.
